Railbed

Card payments for the businesses processors turn away.

Railbed takes cards for legal businesses that mainstream processors restrict, and settles every sale as USDC to a wallet you control. Choose your industry to see how it works for you.

Why these businesses get turned away

Card processors sort merchants by risk. Industries with more disputes, more regulation or more headlines land on restricted lists, and the merchants in them get one of three answers: no, yes with a reserve, or yes until a review finds them. That review usually arrives as sales grow, not when anything about the business changes. The usual high-risk merchant account asks for 3–6 months of bank statements, holds 5–10% of every sale for 90–180 days, and can close with a balance still inside.

Railbed works differently because there’s no balance in the middle. Buyers pay by card through independent, licensed on-ramp providers, and each sale settles as USDC on Polygon straight to your own wallet. We can’t freeze money we never hold, and once a payment settles, nobody can pull it back as a chargeback.

What every industry gets

Don’t see your business?

If it’s legal where you sell it, we don’t judge it. Plenty of merchants we serve don’t fit a neat category, and the acceptable use policy has the short list of what we can’t take. Write to sales@railbed.io and tell us what you sell. We’ll tell you whether Railbed fits, and you can try the whole flow in Test mode in the meantime.

Questions

Is Railbed a crypto checkout?

No. Your buyers pay by card on a normal checkout and never see a wallet or a coin. It’s card in, USDC out. The card provider charges the buyer’s card, and the payment settles to you as USDC on Polygon.

Is there a setup fee or a monthly fee?

No. There’s no setup fee and no monthly fee. Fees come out of each payment, as the card provider’s own fee and spread, a 1% network fee and the Railbed fee shown in your dashboard, all locked when the buyer starts paying.

Do I need a US company, a Social Security number or a US signer?

No. Railbed asks for an email address and the public address of a wallet you control. You need to be 18 or older and using Railbed for a business.

Is there a minimum monthly volume?

No. Your first sale settles like any other. Each card provider has its own minimum per payment, so prices of about $10 or more give buyers the widest choice.

My processor shut me down, or I’m on the MATCH list. Can I still sign up?

Yes. A past closure or a MATCH listing doesn’t rule you out, and there’s no processing history to send. If what you sell is legal where you and your buyers are, you can be live today.

Can I keep my current processor and add Railbed?

Yes. Add Railbed as another way to pay on WooCommerce, or put payment links and buy buttons beside your current checkout, so one processor can’t stop every sale.

Can Railbed freeze my money?

No. Every paid sale settles straight to a wallet you control, so there’s no balance with Railbed to hold. If an account breaks our acceptable use policy we can stop new payments, but we can never touch USDC that has already reached your wallet.

What happens if a buyer disputes a charge?

No chargeback comes back to you. The card provider that charged the buyer’s card handles the dispute under its own rules, and a settled payment can’t be pulled back out of your wallet.
